Are you a young entrepreneur ready to make your mark?

The search for Britain's most enterprising young people is on with the launch of Enterprising Young Brits 2007!

The national competition which is supported by the Daily Mail and Vodafone, seeks to recognise young people who have turned their business ideas into reality and is open to anyone under the age of 30.

There are five categories this year and the winner of each will receive £1,000, a trophy and a certificate - not to mention oddles of publicity for their business!

The categories are:

BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR - for those who have started their own business.

SOCIAL AND COMMUNITY - for those who have combined the running of a successful business while benefiting their local community or environment.

TEEN - for anyone aged 13 to 19 who is turning an idea into reality.

CREATIVE - rewarding talent in the creative ideas such as arts, music and fashion.

HIGH GROWTH BUSINESS - a new award for start-ups that have grown rapidly.

The deadline for applications is now less than one month away - so get working on yours now!

How to enter

The Daily Mail Enterprising Young Brits awards are open to anyone aged 13 to 30.

You can enter yourself or on behalf of a friend, colleague or relative. You can enter up to two different categories.

Entry forms should be accompanied by a 250-500 word summary of how you turned your idea into reality.

Entrants to the High Growth Business category must submit evidence of this.

There is no entry fee and the closing date for all entries is the 22nd of October 2007.
